Up.... Down.... Up....

So the day started great. I slept in until 11:30 ish. I then went with a few friends to Piccadilly Circus to try to buy some tickets for Wicked - however, they were sold out. I guess we have to go early to get the good deals.

Next, I went to Hyde Park to take a nice walk. The park is beautiful with some great flowers and the river. I saw the Princess Diana Memorial, Italian Fountains, Peter Pan, Albert Hall/Memorial and some other great sights.

Next, I went to see the Kensington Palace - where Princess Diana use to live.

Next, I went to McDonald's to get a bit to eat. The McDonald's here are very up-scale. They have a grand piano, chandeliers, big mirrors, flowers on every table...very nice. Besides the Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonald's, SubWay, KFC - there are some other great chains too.

I then travelled Constitution Hill to the Buckingham Palace and the Victoria Memorial and took some great pictures. It was much bigger than I imagined. It was the same case with Big Ben - once I saw it in person, it is much bigger and closer than you would imagine from the pictures. However, at the Buckingham Palace, I accidentally dropped my camera. It works, but the lens just won't open. So I am bumbed about that.

I went to High Street Kensington in hopes to get it repaired, but everything was closed.

I returned home and looked up some places online to get it fixed. I found one place that is actually really close to where I am living. Hopefully it is open on Monday (even though it is a bank holiday) since most stores are open.

I then went out with some friends in South Kensington. After we took forever to find a place and decide to go there, we ended up going to a pizza place and getting pizza. I had to be back on the tube by 12:30 am so I can get back to Barons Court.

Overall, things are going well - except that the soda cans cannot be returned (at least I do not think so) - so I just toss them in the "litter" as they call it. Also, the street lights are funny too - it goes red, then yellow, then green, and then green, then yellow, then red - yellow for both ways - meaning that you can slowly start.

But hopefully my camera gets fixed and all works out.

Tomorrow, I am heading to Westminster for mass and then a picnic. We might see the Changing of the Guards at 11:30 one of these days since it is every day too!

Cheers!
